searching for old members

Mike Stebleton here.  I served at  2861st in Olmstead PA from 1964 until the move to New York in 1966.  I was mostly radio but also installed the first closed circuit TV at a radar site for USAF at a site in Saglek Labrador.  Anyone on this thread from my time?
Also, would really like to find some sort of reproduction insignia from the unit.
Thanks,  MS

Re: searching for old members

Hi,

Tom Dromgoole here .I was stationed with the 2861st in Harrisburg, PA from 10-63 till 7-65. I thought the organization was moved to the 1st MOB in the Philippines around that time. From your website, it looks like it was moved to Griffis AFB for restructuring purposes.
I used to hang around with Bob Secules, Bill August ( Auggie),& Ed Scheuring. I was a Ground radio guy but spent trips on everything under the Sun including the Azores, Saglek, Mcguire Bomarc, Dover, Otis, Carthright, Goose Bay, Bowling to name some.

In 1965, I was sent to Korea. As stated above, I thought the organization went to the Phillippines.

PS Bob Dusenberry ! I do remember you. I think you were a cable splicer from NY or north Jersey.

I was with the 2875th in Japan, but worked at Western Electic after I got out with Tim Wazaluski and Jim DeGroot who were with GEEIA at Olmstead. They were antenna I think. They had to be there when you were. Jim passed away but as far as I know Tim is still well.
