Tom Shane, of Travis County, Texas owns the patch displayed on the left.  The wording at the top of the patch is “Tired Tigers”, and the bottom wording is “Griffiss AFB, N.Y.”

According to Nick Beyer, our unofficial historical researcher, the patch may have been worn by NCO’s promoted to Master Sergeant at Griffiss AFB --- probably part of the 485th GEEIA Squadron after it was brought back to the U.S. from Viet Nam or it may have been worn by a group from the Wallace Air Station.
